  1. How were the other rods? I have really liked my Kaden 7’1 heavy. It is very versatile. I weighed my rods at one point and it was one of the heavier ones, especially for its power and length. But it is very well balanced and doesn’t feel heavy when fishing.
  2. What are your thoughts on this reel?
  3. Brycecover started following New curado DC
  4. Maybe the size of fish also affected my landing. Largest was 1.5 pounds
  5. Yes that has happened to me. A few times now.
  6. Thanks I’ll have to try that.
  7. are you using a keeper to hold it on the hook?
  8. Well, i can agree on that. I went to pick up one of the old gen on Facebook a couple years back and it felt pretty bad.
  9. Hasn’t the reel only been out since 2024?
  10. Have you tried fishing it with any other hooks? I haven’t tried the frog hooks yet because they aren’t sold around me.
  11. I have been using the gamagatsu g finesse hybrid worm hook for flukes and senkos for the past 2 years in a 3/0 size I believe and I haven’t had any issues.
  12. Hopefully it’s good. I remember the good days at tackle warehouse where it was 20%.
  13. Thanks. Do you think the split ring could have been hurting my hookups and keeping fish?
  14. Try to feel them in store. I do not fish baits that heavy but if I was looking for a reel for it, maybe check out the scorpion md and save a few over the tranx 200. The reason I would go with the shimano is based on palming. I’ve felt a tatula 150 in store which I believe is the same frame as the new 200; and it felt pretty big to me. The tranx 200 felt more comfortable. Another big consideration would be the braking systems but I don’t have experience using them with lures that heavy.
  15. That sounds like all of our dreams. Where do you fish in the Everglades?
  16. What’s the presentation then? How are you fishing it and rigging it? Thanks what about the weight/keeper also anything else I should add to my order from there while I’m at it?
