mike22 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I've been eyeing one of these reels lately based on the rave reviews they have recieved. But, I can't seem to find that much of a difference between the SX and STX models. The only feature that I can find that the STX has that the SX doesn't is the Infini Spool 2 system which enhances casting. Just wondering if there is any other difference out there between the two that warrants the $50 price difference? Quote
castaway Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 The STX has a coated pinion shaft and pawl, supposed to reduce friction improving performance. Ivan Quote
Super User flechero Posted January 3, 2007 Super User Posted January 3, 2007 According to the specs, there are 3 differences between the SX and STX: 1 "Titanium nitride wormshaft" 2 "Infini Spool II" - spool is seperated from the drive train during casting 3 "Everslik" coated pinion shaft and pawl There is a good .pdf comparison on pure fishing's site (or it was) I'll post the link for you if I can find it again. The_Natural Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 The Revo's are sure getting some great reviews; the $99 Revo may become the best choice for the under $100 reel shoppers. Quote
Super User flechero Posted January 6, 2007 Super User Posted January 6, 2007 Better late than never... As promised, here is the link to the .pdf file (pg. 3, 4, 5) that shows this info http://www.purefishing.com/documents/Type_69/HPreels_factsheet_F.pdf Quote
