Freshwater fishing spot near seabrook?

Featured Replies

Where is a freshwater fishing spot near seabrook with fish that are safe to eat? Preferably less than 40 minutes away. Don't say Clear Lake or Clear Creek because I mean no or little risk.

Well Andy,

From what I can tell. there isn't a whole lot of fresh water period within 40 minutes driving from Seabrook. Google maps doesn't show much at all. Lake Houston looks like a maybe, But I haven't heard squat about it. Lake Conroe is probably a hour to a hour and a half away, I'm guessing. Steinhagan and Livingston are further but might have some decent bass fishing. I know that's no help within your 40 minute drive parameter.

I seem to also remember some you tuber that Bass fished out of the storm sewer system in Houston.  Having Houston there really corks you.

     This might be a maybe:
