The star drag and knob on my baitcaster are stuck

I let my friend use my pole and when he handed it back to me the star drag was not moving at all and the little knob weren’t. Any tips on how to fix this?

    By little knob do you mean the spool tension knob in front of the star drag? They work independently from one another.  They’re both just threaded knobs. Did he intentionally crank them down?
