what all can i use on my light action rod? is there surten things that i cant fish with it? or can the tinny reel not take things

There are CERTAIN things you cannot use with a light action rod....mostly due to the power of the rod....You dont not have enough backbone to set the hook with soft plastics for example. Large crankbaits and spinnerbaits are also out. You might get away with using a shallow crank of some sort.......Strike King 1x for example.............or possibly a small jig but you would probably do better to buy an inexpensive good med action rod.

I just bought a ML for some lightweight bassin and panfishing.  On the light, as far as weight goes i would obviously stay within the ratings on the rod and i wouldnt fish anything where you have to penetrate plastic or a weedguard (jigs), as Deuceu said. I bought mine strictly for light weight, less then 1/4oz, exposed hook lures.
