Can't adjust Hakai line size dial.

Picked up a used Hakai and absolutely can't move the dial.  Video review showed it being turned by the thumb nail.  Broke piece off my nail.  Any tricks to get the dial turning?

    Mind are really tough to move and they’re both brand new.  I don’t even use the dials

    It's not like I need the dial.  Have plenty of reels and not one of them has a dial for line size.  Just thought it would be nice to use it.
