I don’t think reels can get much better than they already are. So are you really surprised??

Has anyone tried the St Croix Physyx line, and did you feel like the handle was too small or lacked grip compared to their other lines?
- Frog rod.
I use 40lbs braid these days and a TD Zillion or 2018 Bantam and they sling 1/2oz and up no problems. I’ll also use a perfect pitch or evergreen combat 7’3 Heavy as well and I have no issues with those rods either. My all time favorite frog rod which I regret selling after 9-10 hard seasons in it was the Scott Martin Okuma TCS frog/swimbait rod. 7’3 Heavy. I used that rod is all kinds of slop and it wouldn’t quit. It seemed a little soft but it would not break at all and I tried at times just putting it through the limits. But it did cast Jackall Kaera frogs all the way up to spro king daddy frogs with no issues at all.- Frog rod.
I use the Tatula XT 7’4 Heavy frog rod. It does the job it needs it and it can launch a 1/2oz frog.- What’s the best casting reel deals in 2026?
- Evergreen Combat Stick
I have 6 evergreen combat sticks (1st gen) and they’re great. The sleepers in the line up are the 7’1 Medium x-Fast casting, 7’2 MH Mod/Fast and 7’3 H Mod/fast (I agree it’s very comparable to the perfect pitch and I prefer it over the perfect pitch). And I have the bladed jig rod which is just awesome. I have the 6’8 H glass rod in the newest gen and it’s a great skipping/tight area rod for moving baits and it’s great. All the others models I have do as they’re intended to do.- USDM prices on reels is insane.
Let’s see the Canadian prices lol Tackle bros 🤦🏻♂️- Zillion looking rough
I’d go bantam. I like my bantams more than my zillions. Have 5 bantams now and they balance out great that they don’t feel as heavy as you’d think they would.- Broke my Mojo M casting rod right before Ontario trip!
Where in Ontario are you going?- My quick Tatula 80 reel review
Great reel. Didn’t realize they discontinued them.- Upgraded reel bearings???
I won a set of spool speed bearings years ago when Scott started the company and I put them in my Okuma Helios reel that I used for frogs and it Bombed frogs like no other reels. I had to take them out to stop it from spooling out every cast. Very little effort to the cast as well. I had them in another reel as well and it was the same thing. Those bearings I noticed a big difference over stock bearings so whatever bearings he uses or wherever he’s getting them from, I’d say there was a difference. I tried bearings from Ali express and never noticed a difference so now I’ll just replace them if I feel like they need to be replaced.- Braided line suggestions for frog/Jigs
I really like Sunline FX2 for my frog fishing and flipping/pitching jigs- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Well I’ve always been curious about this reel so I look forward to your feedback- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I thought with that reel it’s only in Japan and there is no English in the settings? I think Fishing with Norm did a video on it or maybe Lojo fishing or one of those guys. Fishing with yak pak? - Frog rod.
