Electronic Winches

Featured Replies

I have a Skeeter FXR20. I am looking to fish some smaller lakes that do not allow me to use my big engine. Does anyone have experience with electronic winches on bass boat trailers. Want to determine wench size needed and what electrical source to use

I used a 20’ rope attach to the wench strap about 3’ pulled out and draped the rope rope over the guide rail, use the TM to get enough momentum, pull it up about 20’ from the trailer and glide on as for as you can. Pick up the rope pulling the boat onto the trailer. Now you only need to wench the boat the rest of the way.

The trick fishing alone is getting out to use the wench. I added a trailer step to do this if no dock was available.

Thanks for the response. What size boat were you winching up?
