New video!  Fishing Weeds

Featured Replies

Great video Glenn.  Really spot on.   My biggest problem in fishing a weedy lake is keeping my trolling motor clear.

Another excellent job Glen of explaining your approach.  Here in South Florida we have no shortage of thick weeds of all kinds.  I follow all the points you brought up in your vid.  Over the years my one go to focus point is, I always look for isolated clumps of mixed weeds, rather than big field.  The isolated clumps draw fish from all the open water surrounding that clump.  You can often catch several bass of similar size off one isolated island of weeds.  The bigger the weed field the more spread out those fish will be in that field.

Thanks for another excellent video, and keep them coming!

I fish those isolated clumps too. Someday they're a bonanza. Other days, they hold no gold. You know how bass are. However, I'll always cast to an isolated clump.

A very overlooked point about finding bass.
Most everyone knows that grasses of certain kinds depending on where you live can hold fish.

But most times especially where we fish down here, the first and last place to hit are always those isolated areas.
Especially near deeper water but still within a long cast to the main field.
