medium or Medium Heavy?

Featured Replies

I've had my daiwa sol for a couple of weeks now and just got up enough money to buy myself a shimano compre. Im having trouble deciding on whether to pair it up with a 6'6" med or MH rod. I plan on using it for throwing smaller spinnerbaits and crank baits as little as 1/4 ounce(speed traps) & weightless plastics for both South Florida peacock and largemouth. If anyone owns one of these rods( the Compre) could you give me a little feedback on them.

I would go with medium.  It just feels right with a crankbait.  But I also use a MH for my spinnerbaits.

I guess I'm not much help am I.  LOL :-/

I believe the M is rated for lures in the 1/4 - 3/4 oz range.  That sounds like it would better suit your applications than the 3/8 - 1 oz range of the MH.

I also agree that a medium sounds like it would work the best in your situation.
