Tom Brown Jr. Took His Final Walk.....

Featured Replies

On August 16th, Tom Brown Jr. passed away. Tom was the founder of The Tracker School. The Tracker School was founded in 1978 by Tom Brown Jr, Americas most renowned Tracker, and Wilderness Survival expert. Based on the teachings of Stalking Wolf, the Apache elder from whom Tom learned his skills when he was just seven years old, he began teaching. The school has expanded to include over 75 classes, divided into eight course tracks. Tom ha taught tens of thousands of students he art of tracking, wilderness survival, and the philosophy of living close to Earth Mother. It has been a life changing experience for many.

I had the privilege of attending and taking courses over 3 years. Life changing doesn't begin to cover it. I took my first course almost 35 years ago and I'm still learning from the lessons gifted to me while there.

The Tracker community mourns his passing. We lost a great one and he will be missed.

Very interesting, he was a cross between Archie Bunker and a drill instructor, LOL.

Thanks for sharing the video.

I'd agree with the Marine DI but not the Archie Bunker comparison. I'd say more accurately a Shaolin monk and a USMC DI would be more on point.
