Penn Reel

Featured Replies

I have a Penn spinning reel. I filled the spool with line and when I reel in the line turns on the spool and I can't reel any line it...just keeps spinning. I am thinking that maybe I should use a different knot.

If you are familiar with Penn spools are very slick with no ridges as with other spools.

Anybody have an idea for me? I love the look and they cast a mile.

Thanks!

I use a peice of water proof first aid bandage tape to secure the line to the spool. It usually is enough to prevent the line from slipping on the spool.
