Anyone use the new Expride solid tip rods yet? Would like to purchase one but unsure if I should get the medium or medium heavy. I’m leaning towards the medium…

These rods are mainly for jig head minnow applications. If you’re using FFS shaking minnow baits it would depend on the weight of the jig head you use.

Yes that’s what I want to use it for. Mostly 1/8-1/4 range with 4” baits so I assume I’d want the medium.

I would think med/lt or medium is what you want for those weights. 

i use a medium but not solid tip and I usually throw 1/4 - 3/8 with a 4” minnow bait.

I had the same question about which to get. Someone I know at Omnia said another solid tip rod that is right in between those two Exprides is the Evergreen International Brett Hite Combat Stick Spinning Rods “Gizmo Special.” He does a video on it and says you can throw the really light stuff, but the 4-5 inch minnows too.
