Ok i use reel magic on my lines all of them....... mono and braids id like to no if the REG silicone that u can by for  autos is the same thing Reel magic is $5 a can and i can get 5 big cans of pure silicone for $4 thing is reel magic nor the cans say the actual ingrediants it just says silicone on each one SILICONE is silicone no matter who makes it right.Im wondering does the auto silicone have other stuff like oil in it  that might harm line????

Reel Magic is indeed silicone, but you have to be careful with the grade of silicone you buy.  Walmart carries CRC silicone spray, and it is a good silicone that is food grade approved, but it does leave a little more residue, or 'greasier' feel versus reel magic.  Ideally, you want a high-grade dry silicone, and there are a couple of brands that can be purchased online.  Clearco is probably the best commercial brand you can buy, and they supply industrial food manufacturers for use as a mold release.  Clearco sells to the public, but you have to buy a case at a time.  I plan on doing so here soon, because I also love reel magic, but don't like paying their ridiculous price for it.

 Thanks i have about 20 cans of CRC i use for my trucks nice to no it can do doubles i aint worried much about residue y ai like reel magic but so expensive and a can only lasted me 2 weeks now thats 2 weeks of saltwater and freshwater fishing with 23 rods .
