Bearing Props ???

Featured Replies

Does anyone make a topwater prop bait with the blades on ball bearrings instead of on a wire?

Not to my knowledge...I would think the bearing would weigh the back of the bait down making the prop more like a boat motor type prop than what it was intended to do .... Buuut ... I say that now, I'm sure I'll be surprised later :)

You want that rubbing on the wire that makes a special noise that seems to draw fish like a buzzbait.  I even make some spinnerbaits without a ball bearing swivel ( regular wire swivel).  Some days they work like nothing else..

I think they may be discontinued, but Lucky Craft made a bait called the Splash Tail that was a Devils Horse type bait with the props on front and back. The props were on ball bearings and spun like crazy. I still have a couple in my tackle box.
