Fishing line help

Featured Replies

Hi,

Trying to get some advice on where to get this type of freshwater fishing line online: diameter 0.16mm-0.18mm and higher than 4.5kg (~10lb) strength , not braided. Tried ebay and googled some other fishing stores but could not find any with the specs above.

Thanks in advance.

Converting metric to English, 0.16mm would be .006".Most 10 lb test lines are .012" thick, twice the thickness your asking about, so either you have posted the measurement wrong, or you should be looking at a braid, or possibly fireline ?I do not know the diameter of these 2 lines, but they're your only chance of getting a 10lb test line in that diameter thickness. I don't know all the lines, but your specs will be pretty hard to meet for a non-superline. The only line I know that approaches your requirements is Tectan from Cabela's. For example, 9.2# test is .0079 diameter. I believe that converts to .20066mm.

It will be almost impossible to find a line with those specs.

One of the best lines you can get in europe is the shimano technium.

0.25, 6,750kg. This line is used for carp fishing but i use it alot for spinning. Extremely strong line!!

I looked around and the smallest diameter of the shimano technium line i could find was 0.20mm, 4,5kg. You will have a hard time finding a line like the one you mentioned! Why do you need a such low diameter line?
