Gamma or Gamma Edge?

What is the diff. between the two? I think the Gamma is a copolymer line. Does that mean that it has a fluorocarbon coating? And of the two what line do you like better? :-[ :-/ :-/ :-/ :o;) :-? :-?

Gamma (purple box) is a copolymer. The Gamma Edge is florocarbon. I would highly recomend you try the copolymer myself. I have used gamma for a year now and had no problems with it. There flurocarbon I didn't like so well but I haven't found any fluro I have like so far. If you buy two 300yd spools at BPS you get one free

That's too bad Al. Just curious if that was your first spool?? Maybe a bad batch??

Like KYbass, I started using it last summer and LOVED it. Not one single problem. It's now on all my rigs, except for my braid one.

I would say take it back where you got and swap it out, but there will always be that confidence thing in the back of your head. I am that way with P-Line products. A couple years ago was the first time I had ever tried their line. Went out on the first trip and broke off two 3/8 oz. crankbaits while casting on back to back casts (8 lbs test). That was it for me.

yes it was my first spool... I could have gotten a bad spool... and your probably right its now a confidence thing... two personal bests lost in less than 2 weeks because of line breaks... *gulp* ... once was me thinking it was bad luck...  then today my line broke 4 times... and only once did I think to myself I put enough pressure on the line to cause the break... no biggie... its all part of the quest for the perfect set up.
