That's a hard question because Fuji's OG series of guides have aluminum oxide rings. Aluminum oxide is a ceramic material used in guides from many different maufactures. Fuji is brand name and they make a lot of guides at different quality/price & materials. Hope this helps you.

As stated above, Fuij is a brand name for rod components and pretty much seems to be the golden standard as far as guides and reel seats are concerned, both here and in Japan. Here is a run down of the types of guides Fuji makes in order of price and quality.

TiSiC (Titanium Framed Silicon Carbide)

SiC (Stainless Framed Silicon Carbide)

Alconite (Harder than SiC but not as durable in the long run)

Hardloy (Form of Aluminum Oxide guide that is of better quality)

Aluminum Oxide (Basic guide offered by Fuji)

Most high end rods will have either Alconite or SiC or even TiSiC guides such as the Daiwa Steez or St. Croix Legend Elites. As the price of the rod goes down, so does the price of the guides. I am having a custom rod built for me using TiSiC guides, and just the set alone is $55, so that up's the price of the total rod. Other component companies that compete in the market are: Batson, American Tackle, Pacific Bay, etc. Usually, rod companies that use Fuji try to use the best components. Kistler takes alot of heat for using Batson guides on their $300 rods if you check other forums.
