Line Counter?

Featured Replies

I guess that is what I should call it...

I am looking for something that will attach to the rod and measure the amount of line that I am putting ON a reel. While searching for this at BPS and Cabela's, the only things I was able to find were the types used for trolling that show how much line you had OUT.

Any helpful suggestions or product recommendations welcome.

I'm not sure if this is 100% accurate but the one i had  just attached to the rod itself.. and turn it upside down to measure line going IN instead of OUT.

All you have to do is turn it around. I have a Rapala clip on line counter on my home made reel spooler. It works like a charm. I just rigged a couple of line guides to make the line run backward and it counts the line length well. I hope this helps.

Great idea fellas, simple and effective.
