Orange/Purple Amassaduer Reels

Featured Replies

I saw on Ebay these orange Abu Garcia 5600 cl rocket and some viloet or purple 5600 c4 reels. Wondering if anyone has heard of them and were they any good, or are they cheap knockoffs that Abu Garcia has made.

Thanks

Don't know about the purple reels. The Rockets were high speed versions of the 5600 series.  Something like 6.3:1.

BTW, if you want to see some pretty Ambassadeurs in colors go here

Cart,

Those are some nice reels, pretty expensive though. I know the orange reel is an high speed version, I was just wondering if they were ok or were they junk. I ike the thumb bar on it. I may just stick to the old reliable C4 series.  I have 4600 C3 that I bought from Flechero, It is is great reel but I am thinking of getting a 5500 or 5600 series for fishing for redrum and flounder because of the extra line capacity.

Thanks,

Big T

I've sold a few of the rockets.  They are basically identical reels to the 5.3:1 gear ratio Ambassadeurs just with a faster gear set in them.
