Lews Mach smash baitcaster reel

Featured Replies

I have this Lews reel where the thumb button doesn’t stay pressed down when I go to cast. I know there are some reels that have a switch that allows this to happen but this one does not. The button stays down sometimes but most of the time it just pops back up. It’s a lews Mach smash baitcaster. Lews is quoting me 30

bucks plus parts for fix but reel goes for around 80-100 so don’t want to pay for what I could pay for a new reel.

Thinkin there's no external fix for this and it will have to be opened up. Have you worked on baitcasters??

If not, contact a local repair shop?? Or Delaware valley tackle, he's a sponsor here.
