G Loomis Mossyback

Featured Replies

I was thinking about buying a G Loomis Mossyback flipping rod (7'5" Heavy Power Rod).  Does anyone have any feedback on the performance of this line of rods?  Thanks for you help.

Being a Loomis product, I'm sure it's a nice rod. I've heard the blank is between a GL3 and an IMX...nothing wrong with that, just not Loomis' best.

For another $25 you can get the IMX and I can tell you from my experience that it is a fine rod. JMHO

i never fish with one but have played around with them in a tackle shop feel light and has good balance,i do own theglx  jig n worm series which is there top of the line rod and thats an awsome series of poles that loomis makes, i know they made the mossy backs due for people that coundnt afford the glx jig n worm pole so bassically its there cheaper version which is ok cause loomis makes one heck of a pole ;D

Ronnie,

Is there a flipping stick in the IMX version (that's not telescopic)?  I have a telescopic BPS Extreme flipping stick and for some reason I just don't like it.
