im a shimano guy obviousy ;D and my twin bro is a diawa guy so he has a hsta and i have a e7 while the diawas is a little smother i preferred the e7 let me tell you why 1st its lighter,casts better casting and pitching, fits in my hand better,drags stronger and im a big fan of the larger knobs hope this helps

e7 hands down i personally hated the stx didnt cast as far and was a pain to dial in

I always bought shimano so im ganna say shimano they never let me down so in that price range curados thewto go.now my twin bro is a diawa guy and he has the team daiwa hsta i think thats the model # it cost around the same price as a curado. Fished both all around id take the curado hands down flipped and casted better the daiwa might have been a tab bit smother but not much of a difference..Curado ;)and never look back

Im with you on this i think the Legend torny rods are not worth the price at all i really dont think there very sensitive compaired to the avid.. i dont own a avid but my cousin does and iv fished with it and its much better imo then the ltb.. but a step up would be a imx or even better a glx 8-)

My uncle just bought one and that reel is sweet the orange color is sweet its very smooth , to be honest i cant tell any difference from my sahara which cost 30 bucks more.. For 50 bucks its a steal 8-)

does anyone know if the gloomis shaky head models are built with the imx blank?? also im looking into the shr8822s im thinking on using this for shaky heads senkos and trig tubes and light jigs would that rod be good for those techniques?

I have a g2 extreem 704c and its an awsome rod.. Its very sensitive and balance is awsome.. Imo its just as good as a loomis glx
