Not enough photos.

Nice.

So will they no longer be making the BCR and BSR series in GLX?

How much is this one going to be?

Is it the one mentioned earlier this year for around $500?

And no mention of guides.  Hope they didn't go with Recoils on these.

According to poster's on another site its a combination of titatnium Fuji SICs and Recoils.

Here is a direct quote from Bantam1

"...we use a blend of guides to acheive the correct balance on the rods. The stripper and next 3 guides are Fuji Titanium frame SIC. The rest of the guides are black REC Recoil. We figured out that the noise was eliminated by using these Fuji guides, and the double foot model were actually lighter than the REC. Best of both worlds!"

Not impressed when comparing the actual aesthetics to the price and using two completely different styles of guides  just seems tacky.  It may be the most light and sensitive G-Loomis yet but if I buy a rod and pay that much, I have to like the way it looks and to me it looks cheap

You won't know until you see one. I suspect after 17 years

of development, it won't look "cheap". My guess is this line

of rods will set a new standard by which all others will be judged.

Good to see Loomis catching up to everyone else in handle designs, reel seats and such. It's about time.

Best photo I've seen so far.  From TackleTour...

I may be off on this, but couldn't I get a custom made using that same blank for close to the same amount of cash?   :-?

Good luck getting the blank.  G.Loomis got out of the blank business.

I guess I am getting confused. So this isn't the North Fork Composites blank that Kistler uses for his Z-Bone customs? How similar do you think this new G-Loomis blank is compared to what Gary is doing with his newer company?

Edit - I guess its more of a timing thing. This thing has been in development for how long? And how long as Loomis had the Northfork company?

Edit 2 - I guess what I am really getting at is...thats a s***ton of dollars for a production rod not from Japan.

Gary Loomis hasn't been with G.Loomis for a number of years.

So will they no longer be making the BCR and BSR series in GLX?

Does anyone know if this is going to replace these, or be an addition to the line?
