Pit Boss Problems
Sorry just came across your question. I use the pit boss for both, it is an awesome pitchin' bait or just dragging it on the bottom like a craw dad. Something I came across this last year was I started catching some fish on it when reeling it back in. It has some awesome action to it when swimming. The end of the tail seems to split open after a few fish and it makes it hard to keep on the hook. So I will bite off the bad section and rehook it and it's ready for action. Hope this helps. Oh by the way any color is good as long as it is GREEN PUMPKIN!!

Bass Pro XPS square bill
Yeah I feel the same about DSG. Many times I went to buy stuff that was on sale only to find out at the register it was no longer on sale, although the sale sign was still on the shelf. Their reel selection is a joke too.

Norman vs Bandit
I will take a Norman Deep Baby N over a bandit all day long. The fire tiger without the glitter is my go to bait. I can't remember how many big bass I have put in the boat with that bait. With that being said PRADO just purchased Norman lures so we will have to wait and see if they ruin this lure or leave it as is. I went to the boat when I heard this news and counted 54 DBN's,I should be OK for a while.

Bass Pro XPS square bill
There is an Academy in Terre Haute, In. Went down there the weekend of its grand opening, was rather disappointed in the fishing section. I guess I was expecting more than what they had. And on top of that what they have done to the All Star rod is sickening. I still have 4 of the original All Stars that were made in Houston.

Received Revo S as gift -- but am I taking a step backwards? Advice please!
I have two Revo S reels and they are work horses. I would not get all worked up over the lack of mag brakes on this reel. Like previous posters said you lock in one or two brakes on the inside and close it up. You can then fine tune with spool tension know as needed. I used mine for square bills so there was not a need to mess with the settings. Put some line on it and throw it around a while,I think you will like it.

How Do You Use Your Kvd Line & Lure?
When putting line on I spray it about every 20 revolutions of the handle. And I spray it real good when the spool is full. Then when I get home from the lake I will make a long cast in the yard and spray it down good while reeling it in,then spray the top down again. Don't be afraid to use it,it is great stuff I have 2 or 3 bottles around at all times.

What Crankbait Was Evers Using On The Alabama River
Yeah I read several articles from the web and none of them state what bait he was actually throwing. Found that odd. It must be a bait from a company that does not sponsor him.

As the title states, does anyone know what crankbait he was using?

Dicks Sporting Goods
The Croix deal was last year about this time.

Dicks Sporting Goods
My DSG told me they cant order anything special, everything they get in is ordered by some guy sitting in an ivory tower. Dude probably has never held a rod in his hand. Sad sad sad. Heck, when I got my st croix's, the morning I went in there they didnt even know they were on sale. I asked the manager if they were on sale for 39 bucks because they were on the east coast. He about laughed his ass off,so I ask him to scan one....presto 39 bucks. He about fell down. LOL

Siebert Outdooors Brush Jigs
I am looking to buy some jigs soon. Have any of you used the brush jig? And if you have what are some of its strong points? I fish a lot of docks, laydowns and rip rap. Would this be the jig I am looking for?I currently fish the bitsy bugs and bitsy flips. I was just wanting something with a better hook. I have about 40lbs of jigs in the plano box......but you all know how this goes. Thanks, Rick

Abu Garcia Gen 3 Revo S
I wanted to buy some of the gen 3 revo's but after putting the s on a rod I did not like it. The gear box on the right hand side hangs down too low and I palm the reel when fishin so my fingers go under the reel and hit the gear box and leaves them in a half bent position. Put one on a rod before you buy it and you will see what I am talking about.

Dumb Question
Actually this is a good question. I've had several people who were just getting into bass fishing go fishing with me and this question has come up more than once. And, I have caught fish using the craw both ways. When I am pitchin I leave the claws together so it leaves less of a chance for a claw to grab on to a reed or dock post. Good question, keep them coming!
