  1. I have a TD Zillion Coastal as well as the normal Zillion. Both are excellent reels and are definitely great for fishing soft plastics since the high gear ratio allows you to pick up slack in your line a lot quicker. I also have a curado and in my opinion the zillion is a better reel, but again it comes down to personal preference. You can't go wrong with any of the reels these guys have mentioned though.
  2. can't go wrong with it or siege.
  3. I'm gonna admit that I must have overlooked the reel part... : For some reason I thought you were talking about the rods... my mistake...
  4. mine broke on a hook set on a four pounder..
  5. I've had 2 TD pro's and it wasn't what I'd call ideal. One broke and the other I ended up taking back. I don't think that Daiwa has very good lower end stuff, but as for their higher end models, I have two Zillions (ones a coastal) and they are the best reels I've ever owned. I also have one of the Zillion rods and it blows every other rod I've fished out of the water.
  6. Like Broc said, I've got the spinnerbait/worm W&M rod and I'm not a fan of it at all. It is very soft, and I've had a lot of fish come off on this rod. IMO it is too soft and doesn't have a lot of power. I can't say anything about the Lamiglass, but as far the W&M goes I'd steer away from it. Hope this helps.
  7. I'm going for the USA of course. Got a lucky point yesterday... Thank you England. As for who will win it I'm leaning toward Argentina or Germany. Messi missed a ton of chances yesterday. Props to the Nigerian keeper for making some insane saves though. As for the US, I think if we can get some offensive chances and finish them we could go relatively far into the tourney. Tim Howard played insane yesterday and he always does in big games.
  8. CELTICS! Big four baby! As long as Ray Allen steps up his play from the last two games, and we quit turning the ball over I think we got it on lock.
  9. Reel as slow as you can with it still making a 'bloop bloop bloop' sound. Rhrow around cover and along the shoreline. I've had the most success with buzzbaits early morning or late evening into night. Also with black and white colors.
  10. I love the looks of that reel. I was actually looking to pair the coastal with whichever rod I end up getting. How do you like the Coastal? Think it would pair well with the Zillion?
  11. never fished the "others", but you recommend them. Oh-Kay : I have that 6'8" "wacky" Mojo rod. It weighs 3.9 oz. Hardly what I'd call heavy. It's just a bit tip heavy with a Daiwa TD-Pro 2500. All-in-all a nice sub $200 senko rig. I figured he wanted more of an all around rod than a something basically for weightless plastics. You got wicked mind reader skilzz, Dude Point being you have no experience with any of the particular rods mentioned, but continue to make recommendations. Rock on Even though I have no experience with the others, from my experience with the mojo's, I would not recommend one. I've heard better things about the others.

  13. True that. I was looking at the zillions more for single hook baits.
  14. Looking at getting 6'6 MH F or the 6'9 MH XF. Looking for a solid "do everything" kinda rod. I wanna get one for single hook baits and one for treble hook applications.
  15. I'm not a fan of the Mojo. Heavy and uncomfortable. Never fished the other two, but I would definitely go for one of the others... but thats just me.
