  1. i would also include skeeter and stratos as well.... ;D
  2. Imo i would buy a used boat between 2 to 4 years old theres no point in buying a brand new boat cause u know your ganna bang it up a little, rub on docks maybe hit the prop on rocks ect....my 1st boat was a bass tracker18 ft was a great beginner boat but really i would get a fiberglass boat due to ride and quality...this year i went to a dealer which is a ranger dealer they had a 01 ranger and an 06 stratos 200 pro xl for the same price and to me i took the stratos yea i know they say rangers the best boat they ride the best and hold their value the best but the boats were the same price so i took the stratos... motor had low hours was in mint shape and had a 225 e tec... the ranger was perfect as well but had more hours and the motor was older design... I know the ranger is a better boat but for my price i was looking to spend the stratos is more then i need.... ;D .... like said before look at different boats and youll see better details , designs and if posible take the boat out before u buy cause some ride and handle better then others....

  10. I had the same problem with knots breaking so i solved my problems by going with suffix braid 40/12 on baitcasting and spinning 20/6 with a 24'' 20 lbs floro leader material problems solved plus greater sensatiity ;D
  11. Personally i like the green color in the sun its a couple of different shades looks bad @ss.. goes good on my loomis bcr 854 rod ;D
  12. I have them all ;D my fav out of the group is the mg7
  13. These last couple days iv been fliiping with 2 brakes on and 4 off with no problems at all... no manner what thats what i always leave all my shimano reels weather im spinnerbaitin or t rigging or fliiping....personally i dont know what others are saying about the vbs not being efficiant but imo its the same to me as all my other shimano.... reels
  14. I fished my e7 today and shimano has a real winner for 180.00 bucks... First off is the color when u fish this reel its the most bad@ss colors iv seen imo..when the suns on the reel its greenish to scorpion red to brown colors hard to discribe but cool looking..i fished it today using a 1/4 oz tugsen weight with a beaver on my bcr854 glx pitches very well very comparible to my mg7...comes off spool very easy.. as for the vbs system same thing to me as all my other shimano reels set once and dont have to touch it i use 2 brakes out the rest in...i love the over sized grips very nice and comfy...drag smooth like my mg7 and calais...reel is slighty wider but lower profile more like a abu stx...I had a bsf 200 and this reel blows that away in every aspect imo..all in all shimano did one heck of a job i would recomend this reel to anyone thats looking for a reel in the 200 range...
