Crankbait rods

Featured Replies

I have three crankbait rods, all Bass Pro Shops Crankin’ Sticks. Excellent rods, great value especially if you find them on sale.  Medium lite 7’ for jerkbaits mainly, medium 7’ for shallow runners and square bills and medium heavy for deep runners.

Deep is a relative thing, I never fish any deeper than 15’. Usually it’s more like 10’.

Yeah in a perfect world you need three if not more.

That's why this is so hard for me.

Buying just one is complicated, at least for me.

I'm probably going to purchase something that is ideal in 15 feet of water and less. Should be ideal for say 3XD's and 5XD's.

Without a boat/electronics, I'll hold off on the deeper cranks for now. There's just one lake that has a lot of deep water where 20 foot cranks etc would be great.

Still looking to just purchase one right now. Wife wouldn't be too happy as I've already purchased a high end combo this year.

Who says the wife has to know?  Have rod sent to workplace.  Sneak rod into house.  Mix with other rods.  Will she be able to tell you've added another.  Of course, I've never done this.  :toothy9:

LOL, if she didn't handle the bills it could be an option.

Quick update, ORDER PLACED.  :)
