Hello, Newbie here with some questions :  I have a Zebco Omega Z03 spincast reel with 8# Trilene XL on a 6' med. action rod. With a 1/8 ounce jig I can cast 60-65 ft., with a 1/4 jig I can get around 70-75 ft. Is this good, bad, or average for this set up ? I filled spool to 1/8" of spool lip as the directions stated, should I put on more line ? As a comparison my 4' 8" UL spinning rod/reel with 4# line throws a 1/8 jig around 65-70 ft. Any advice, opinions, or commets welcome   Thank you  :-?

That sounds about right for a spincast reel with new line on it. But as the line picks up more memory and a few cast, this distance will start to close.
