I've read 2 post that refer to upgrading a citica.  I am wondering if anyone has the "reel" deal on this.  I would totally into buying a few parts here then a few there at a later time to soup up my reel.

The person you want to talk to here is ReelMech.  He won't sell you any parts, but will most likely have some suggestions for you.  I just got back a Curado I'd gotten in a trade that turned out to be a 3.8 model.  Sent it to him and had all the necessary parts replaced to make it a 6.3:1 retrieve, along with the addition of Carbontex drag system.  More than reasonable and the reel absolutely sings

I guess I haven't read that thread. What kind of upgrades are you talking about. There are no GR upgrades to a Cruxis or Citica that I know about.

Some of the best and most cost effective upgrades I know about, are swapping out the stock ABEC3 BB packs, and adding ABEC5 Shimano® BB packs to the reels spool support system.
