What class of lure these days wins most professional tournaments

Featured Replies

Was wondering if anyone had seen any hard date on what type of lure is winning most pro bass tournaments these days.

My best guess would be soft plastics are winning most pro bass tournaments these days, especially with livescope.

The Bass Pro Tour records the lure each fish is caught on.  Here are the top five for the 2025 Season

1. Bladed Jig

2. Jighead Minnow

3. Wacky/Neko Rig

4. Drop Shot

5. Creature/Craw

For the 2024 season when FFS was not limited to 1 period

1. Jighead Minnow

2. Bladed Jig

3. Lipliess Crankbait

4. Jerkbait

5. Soft Body Swim Bait

Thank you. I need to broaden my lure use, despite having them all listed, I only ever use three on either list.

I would have like to have seen the list before the advent of FFS.

Off the top of my head for the Elite Series that I can remember this season:

St Johns: Swim Jig

Okeechobee: Big Megabass Crankbait and Megabass Jerkbait called a Kanata

Pasquatonk: Texas Rigged Bronco Bug

Sabine: Buzzbait
