Places to fish near Nashua NH with kids

Featured Replies

We are visiting family in Milford, NH and would like to take the kids fishing. Is there anywhere near Nashua area or other direction, preferably an hour or less drive, that have a stocked fishing pond, or least good chance of catching fish. Also any place to rent fishing gear from. And maybe a boat? We are from VA so the kids often get to go out on the fishing boats in the bay. They always getting bites, May not always catch something, but just the fun of actually getting bites and trying to real them in. I don't think they would have patience to sit for hours waiting for fish to bite. They've been pond fishing before also but was a stocked pond. I know, I'm probably dreaming but figured I'd ask.

I know nothing about that area, but a visit by Google Earth reveals a number of small lakes and the Merrimack River are in the area.  You might try contacting local tackle shops or outfitters.  I bet they can suggest a number of places to spend the day fishing with your children.
