Hook/Weight Storage at Home

Featured Replies

Looking for ideas on storing terminal tackle at home. I’ve been through a handful of different storage solutions for my terminal tackle. Currently, I’m using a Bass Mafia 3700 Deep 2.0 box and bought these small plastic bags that I can label and separate different hooks/jigsheads into each compartment. For weights, I just have a deep Plano 3700 box that I throw my weights in loosely and separate them based off of shape/weight. Tungsten goes into plastic baggies similar to the hooks in the bass mafia box.

An issue I’m running into now is that I have way too many individual bags getting crammed together making it difficult to store/pull out individually. Hooks are tearing through the plastic and I end up having to pull out all the bags in a compartment and sift through multiple packs of hooks to find what I want. Sounds like a minor problem but it’s way too overloaded.

I really like the BKK Fully Loaded box concept because each hook is divided by style and has a label that you read from the top so you can just pull out the specific mini box you want without having to sift through all these baggies. Not a fan of the price, and if you want to buy the box that doesn’t have all the BKK hooks inside of it, you end up having to spend more for individual mini boxes. Any ideas on a good solution for this?

That's what I use.

Alternatively, if you don't like the individual boxes you could use the bait locker

Do you have them in the baggies just for labeling? I store all my terminal in 3700s and write the label on a peice of masking tape that I stick to the divider in the box.

Also have a peg board with unopened reserves. It’s good for saving space.

Theyre really small individual bags that I label and place into separated compartments in my bass mafia box. Each bag contains specific items. For example, Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG has only that and I stuff however many of those hooks I have in that one baggie.

I want a system where I can read that from the top instead of having to pull the baggie out and sift through them. Theres too many in the box at this point and it gets hard to close it sometimes

I'm going through a major garage reorganization and the fishing section is a big part of that. I plan to try some of the hanging organizers like I use for screws and other small parts.

The problem with storage systems is that you have to put stuff back where it goes...
