I picked up a Fenwick Eagle Gt 7' M for $ 44.99, but now I am not sure what to use it for? What would you boys use it for?  ( Cranks,tubes,t-rig ect. )? :-/ :-[ :;) :;) :-? :-? :) :)

Crank baits is what I'd use it for.

If it's a baitcasting rod I would use it for cranks.

If it's a spinning rod I would use it for drop shot/ finesse.

Just my .02¢

Tight Lines!!

Can't dissagree with what the others have said, but have a few more suggestions. If it's a casting rod, I like a 7'M for smaller spinner and buzz baits (< 3/8 oz) in clear water, the M handles the smaller baits better, and the 7' length can cast them further, both essential in clear water IMHO.  If spinning, I would like it for weightless soft plastics (if it's fast enough). senkos, flukes, trick worms, etc......

I'd useit for FISHING !!! :) ;D

Just kidding...

WHAT REELMECH SAID !!!

Thanks guys, I went and bought another Fenwick Eagle Gt so now I have the 7' M and a 6'6' both in spinning. They seem like real good rods for the money ! So what should I fish on the 6'6" Mh === Worms ? :-/

Hope you like the Eagle, I have a 7' MH casting, it's been a good rod, I like it  alot and the price is right. I use a differnt brand 6'6" MH spinning, but I have handled the Eagle in that power, and it feels similiar to mine (BPS Bionic Blade) I like that rod for skipping jigs, weighted t-rigged worms under dock, and tubes under docks. Also it makes a nice "pond" fishing rod, some thing with enough power to fish jigs and worms , but short and light enough to be able walk the banks with out it beeing a hinderance.

Thanks for yor input. They seem like nice rods, lite rods and I hope the feel is there ! 8-)

The feel is there.  I had an Eagle Gt and that convinced me to upgrade to Fenwick's top line of rods, because as sensitive as the GT was I knew there other rods had to be great....and they are.

I have a 7ft Medium Fenwick Venture (older version of the Eagle GT) and It is my one and only rod in use right now. (besides swimbait combo) I use it for jigs, cranks, spinnerbaits, topwater, buzzbaits, soft plastics, T and C rigs, chatterbaits, jigging spoons, and anything and everything. It has never failed me, Its a great rod. Its nice to just bring one combo when you are a bank fisherman, and 7ft Meduim can cover most of the tackle box.
