Don't know about the new ones, but my OG STXL is loaded with 40# braid and used for casting into Florida lily pads.  I like it a lot.  Too bad (or maybe it's a good thing) that I haven't a need for any more reels.

 

Thanks for the post, tho.  I like to read up on new reels even though I've no intention of buying another.
