Berkley Nessie 5" Weight Mod For BFS

Featured Replies

Did this weight mod on a couple Nessie glidebaits.

I have these Bass Pro Shops crimp on hook weights. They sell them from 1/16oz to 3/8oz crimp weights.

I used a 1/16oz weight and crimped it on the treble hook, so I can have the Nessie sink a bit faster and stay lower in the water column.

I like the 5" Nessie for power BFS, it's light enough to throw on a ML BFS rod.

I'll test out tomorrow. I hope my idea works and glide a bit deeper. 🤞🎣
