P-Line Evolution - A Question

I use P-Line Evolution and absolutely love it!! The question that I have is rather simple in nature. I use 10 lb. test for primarily all my fishing tactics and set ups. In comparing it to mono, Can I go with a higher pound test ans still retain the benefits of a 10 lb. line? In other words, is the diameter the same as a premium monofilament or do I need to a specific line type for my set-ups (Spinnerbaits, Crankbaits, Worms, Topwater, etc.)?
