I picked up a couple of Academy H2OX ethos rods on closeout. Seems like that whole brand of rods and reels are being downsized if not discontinued. I have been impressed with the rods I have from them. Seem to be pretty good bang for buck. I would hate to see that go away.

    Yea they are pretty good. Gonna hit up Academy tomorrow and see if they have any sales

    Own 3 of the H2O Ethos rods and use them on occasion and like them, vey light weight. Also the Mettel reels have held up well for me. Bought 5 for 25$ each years ago, gave one each to my son in laws and kept 3, 2 still catching redfish in the fall.
