My theory behind flipping reels is that less is more.  I'd say go even smaller if you can afford it.  When you spend 4 hours a day flipping a 7'6" rod 1,000+ times,  it counts.  I've been using revos and pflueger summits lately and couldn't be happier.

I have that same reel spooled with 50# power pro, and I think it's great!
