Minnkota i Pilot/ AutoPilot
I took my boat out of storage, and it seems my 10 yr old minnkota maxxum may have expired. After installing a Lowrance HDS sonar/gps combo, I'm thinking about replacing the maxxum with a unit that offers iPilot and AutoPilot. Has anyone used the terrova or powerdrive V2 with those features? Is it worth the money or should I just go with a new maxxum unit? thanks for your time

Carolina rig rod
I'm going to be purchasing a c-rig rod this spring. I'm new to this technique and wondering what to look for in the right rod. Baitcasting or Spinning? Rod action? Power? Are technique specific rods worth the extra investment? :-/ thanks for your input

New to flipping
My current flipping combo is a shimano Castaic 200sf on a 7'6 diawa LT stick spooled up with 50lb Power Pro. The shimano is performs great. Last week at the BPS classic I picked up a cumara flipping stick and purchased 2 reels. I wanted to purchase 2 shimano core 100mgs but at $479 CDN !!!!!! i just couldn't do it. Because shimano is participating in the reel exchange in canada i did get 1. The other reel i bought was the REVO premier. MillerTime is right. 6.3 oz so its really light. At 279 its 200 dollars cheaper than the core, 24lbs of drag???!!! it will Horse them out of heavy cover, plus if you do any salt water fishing the reels frame will handle the salt water and drag will handle the snook. The castaic is a great flipping reel for the price. If you want to spend a little more, the revo premiere has a lot of options found in reels that are a lot more expensive. Bring your rod when you choose reel. You can feel which reel is the right fit.

Shimano Chronarch/ St. Croix Avid
I'm in the market for a crank bait rod/reel combo. After a lot of comparison shopping I've narrowed it down to the Shimano Chronarch 100BPV reel and the St. Croix Avid AC66MF rod. Because im going a little over budget, I'm looking for some thoughts on weather its money well spent. I've also looked at the Diawa Steez burner but I find the Chronarch to be a better all purpose reel as I also enjoy fishing for walleye. What do you think??

Florocarbon line for crankbait rod??
I have a baitcaster reel, which was used for drop shotting, spooled up with florocarbon line. i only used it 2 or three times. Over the winter i purchased a shimano crucial drop shot rod and im going to be using the baitcaster for crankbaits. I was wondering if it would be ok to leave the floro on the reel or change it up. Because of the expense of the line and its low usage i want to get a season out of it. What do you guys think??/

Rod set up Opinions
Hey Fellas. Got a quick questions. After updating/ upgrading some of my combos, I have an ambassadeur 5600 AB reel and a Berkley GT 6'6" MH rod left over. I was wondering if this combo would work well together and if so, for what (cranks, jerks, spinners??). Otherwise i was going to sell/trade use for spares. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! thanks in advance
