I took six Abu Garcia reels that I had taken apart, cleaned, and repaired to the local powder coat shop and the results are going to be incredible. They will sandblast them with 80 grit sand, completely mask off all of the threads on the body and side plate and powder coat them with color for 160 dollars. I know that sound like a pretty good amount of money, but the results will be out of sight. The only thing was that he could not do the side plate that the handle and drag star are on because we could not get the bearing out of it. Now worries though, I will mask them off, prime them and paint them. I will take pictures of them as soon as I get them back in the middle of next week.

It is possible to do, just keep at it..............................
