How do all of you feel about this reel? Could it be used as a 3-8 inch swimbait reel? Looks good, lower end of the line for Shimano, but thought I would give it a try.

    IMPO It is their best entry level reel.

    As far as swim baits I don't throw them yet, but if I did I would be more into thinking what rod I would use.

    I see no reason why it couldn 't be a swimbait reel, only limiting factor is line capacity so you can spool in heavy line enough for trolling swimbaits, otherwise it holds plenty line.

    It is what I've been using.  Fill with heavy braid and you'll be fine.
