Just got my 7'11 H Guide Select.  

This is a nice rod for the money.  Just hope it fits in my rod locker.  

I was worried that the H would be a telephone pole, but the tip is surprisingly soft.

Great rod! My buddy just got the same one. I too was surprised at how soft the tip section felt. It's casts very nice. Effortless really.  

Thats the exact rod I use for Mattlures. Don't you love the split-grip grip? (lol)

For being so huge its pretty sensitive.

It cast good and loads well, and I havn't had a single problem other than biking through traffic to go fishing with a 8ft rod sticking out. And its the only rod I have that I can change the TV channels with ;D

I had planned on getting the 7'6 but Tackle Warehouse was out of stock.

I think I like the mini-pistol on the 7'11 a little better.

Sad thing is that the split-grip is going to ruin me on all of my other rods.

This is the greatest rod in the history of rods.

Casts a 3/8 oz. jig just as easily as a 6 oz. swimbait.
