Anyone know who makes Quest rods for dicks ????

AAHHHH! A WILD GUESS   QUEST

Actually there a couple of things you could do to find out.

1) Look at the rods spec decal there could be little words printed there "Made in China" if that is the case then you have the answer.

2) Ask one of the guys in that dept., and see if they know..

Yup made in china but i thought there was only like 5 diff companies that actually make blanks worldwide and the outlet selling um puts there name on there.Reason im askin i have 2 that i bought for 20 bucks sic guides fuji real seats and i thought id do a extreme bend on them before i bought and wow i was impressed these are med action and no way in the world id brake um fishing .basicly what im askin is anyone have any issues with them?? ReelMech have u had any brought into you for service ,etc,,,

Rods made in China are made with blanks rolled in that country.

St.Croix® has a line (Triumph) that is made to their specs but made with components from China. They roll their own blanks but don't ship them over seas to have them assembled and then re-shipped back to the US...

As far as the Quest rods I haven't seen any in my shop for repair, nor have I gone to DUCKs (that's what I call them here) to look for any tackle.

i have 2 that i bought for 20 bucks sic guides fuji real seats
If you only paid $20.00 for a rod with Sic (Silicon Carbide) guides you got a deal in my opinion. Sic guides ain't cheap.

Thanks for the info reelmech ya they were on clearance the action is med which i like a lot .Most likley put on clearance because it seems ppl are stuck on this 7 foot heavy action bandwagon and then wonder why they cant cast a senko or fluke .ya when i got home i kinda abused one a little to see how it performs i figure wth 20 bucks i wanna se how far it can actaully go it had a slightly more bend in it then this  (  which is fine  and that was with soemone holding the tip and me holding just the realseat and forgrip !

Don't know who makes them but one of the best fisherman in Ga. uses them over Loomis,All Star, St.Croix ect which has all of the above in the corner in his garage. He swears by them for jig and worm fishing ....swears they are more sensative than all the above. Now I have two I'm trying them and they are still on my Curado's.
