Need info on old quantum dynomag reel

Featured Replies

I can't find any info on this reel, it's my grandfathers and he never used it...dosn't have line on it or anything.

My father and i want to get him a good rod for it for fathers day. We're not sure what kind to get or what size line to put on it since we can't find any info on this reel.

Any help will be much appreciated.  8-)

What kind of reel is it. BaitCasting or SPinning? What is the model number?

I have never heard of a Dynomag reel.

Quantum does have The DynaMag magnetic cast control system.

Tight Lines!!!

lol. I don't know why i typed "dynomag".

It is a DynaMag magnetic cast control 310 baitcasting reel. It's been sitting in the box it came in for years...i'm not sure what rod and size line to pair with it since i can't find any info on it.

That sounds like the old 1310 MG from years back.

A tan colored reel, side plates look like they were made out of plastic.

It has a One-piece aluminum frame, DynaMag magnetic cast control, Up to 3 stainless steel bearings, Available in 3 different gear ratios (6.0:1, 5.1:1, 3.8:1). The reels made today come with Continuous Anti-Reverse and Multi-disc drag systems.

The reel basically handles about 165yds of 12# test.

As for a rod, that would depend on what you intend to use the rod/reel for, and how you want the system to feel in the hand.....

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!
