Advantage or Tierra?

Featured Replies

Which Daiwa would you guys choose? Or possibly some other suggestions.

I've got two Tierra's now, which replaced my two Stradics.   They are the finest spinning reel I have owned up to this point.  Air bail, digigear, CRBB's, forged handle, etc.  Extremely smooth and just feels right...it's hard not to go with it for $115.

I have a tierra and it is a pretty solid reel. you asked for other suggestions, so, if you have the extra 60 bucks, get a Daiwa SOL.  An A-M-A-Z-I-N-G reel!!!!

daiwa also has a tierra baitcaster now. just hit the sheves this week.(according to the guy at BPS) i got it for $119. i made a couple throws in the yard last night and it seems great so far. much better backlash control than the revo sx i just got last week

Must be a BPS only reel as there isn't anything on Daiwa's website about the Tierra casting reel.

Actually, I've got them both! The 2500 models, and I have to say the Tierra feels a tad smoother, but the Advantage looks better! If you blindfolded me and I casted with each, I couldn't tell you the difference, it's that close!
