A new rod for jigs

Featured Replies

Since I am in the process of upgrading my bass tackle, what would you guys recomend for a good jig rod? My price range is between $125-175.

i have a kistler magnesium jig and toad special.  It is 7ft. heavy and I really like it alot.  I like the split grip handle for pitchin jigs so this is my favorite rod for jigs

As a rod builder, I would recommend that no matter what brand you select for the rod, that you mount the reel you intend to use on it, before you purchase it if you can, to be able to feel the fit and balance in your hand. The fit and balance of the system is most important in jig fishing.
