Orange Daiwa Capricorn

Anybody have any experience with the Daiwa Capricorns (orange ones) Dick's is selling right now. Normal retail is $129.99 but they are on sale for $79.99. I was thinking about picking up a 1500 size for some trout fishing over the July 4th holiday. I am normally a Shimano man when it comes to spinning reels but this thing felt smooth. :-? If anyone has some feedback (good or bad) please let me know. Thanks, Blaine

I brought one a year ago without the orange.  I believe that Daiwa makes them for Dick's. The reel I purchased is just a tad heavy, but it has performed well.  That orange sideplate apparentlycosts an extra $10 over last year's price. I got the regular sized model probably same as a 200 model Shimano.

I work at Dick's and we have tons of those things. From what I've determined they seem like pretty nice reels. We've sold a lot of them lately and have had people come buy the new ones because they liked them so much.

I have the older bait casting 100HL silver capricorn, and both the spinning and casting "orange" capricorn. They are my favorite reels, and get used alot........trouble free, cast like a dream, and often on sale for $79 (I have never bought one at full price) They are built on the same frame as the black 100H/100HL procaster series with a few more "extra's". The new orange Capricorn spinning reel is the same as the Team Daiwa Tierra, without the "air bail", very very nice spinning reel for $79
