Has anyone heard of these?

My neighbor was going through his attic and came accross this reel.  It's new and in the box, but all lube is dry and it is not smooth.

Is it worth spending the money to send it to Kansas for an overhaul?  I think it was a pretty cheap reel even when new.

I suppose I could oil and grease it and see what happens.

Whatch'all  think?

    Avid,

    You could try and re-lube the reel yourself. But if you send it to KS make sure the schematic is in the box. No schematic don't send it.
