i am looking for a new reel and would like recomendations my plfueger echelons are letting me down they are grinding a sounding bad i have taken two back for bearing problems , i always keep them clean and lubed. i have decide to swich to a different reel , i like baitcasters and the reel will be going on a 7ft mh worm rod, i dont fish heavier than 12lb line and i have 150 to spend. what would be a good reel in this price range, thanks for any help in my decision

someone will probably tell me my idea is bad, but ive got some pro series 100 pinnacles that are really smooth, great casting reels (freshwater only more or less...dont fair too well in salt) but they are only $45 a peice and i love them...just a thought if you do mostly freshwater fishing

No matter what brand you decide on, take your rod and mount the reel on it to check the fit and feel of the system in your hands.

IMPO in that price range I would go for the Citica 200..
